Mary-Heather Morgan Holland Daly, that’s me. Married an Irish man. We named our son, Myles Callahan Warclaw Daly after my Grandma Mary Madeline Callahan, and Tim’s great grandfather Warclaw Zarinski. Irish, Polish, Dutch, German…we are a melting pot. But for some reason, maybe it is the freckles, the Irish in me is quite abundant and ready to come out & play. My husband spent some time in Ireland just before we married and if he has it his way, we will all live there, for a time at least, at some point in our lives. SO, for all of you with smilin’ Irish eyes, I am having a little sale to let you save some of that GOLD!

If you are like a lot of the country, today your are buried in snow. The likes that we haven’t seen since we have been back in Illinois! I don’t mind it much as long as I am inside, stitching, or beadweaving. Today, I may do some felting. Though having my hands wet all day doesn’t sound very warm…Either way I plan to do some sort of stitchy thing all the while entertaining a 5 year old, and feeding my cute husband, in between their jaunts in the snow. And fun was had by all!
What do you do on a snowday?!
Until next time stay warm, protect those hands from the elements!
Just in case you missed the message the old code LOVE2009 doesn’t work for the sale. blah.

Summer. Seriously, where did the spring go? Though technically we have a month or so left of Spring, but Memorial Day weekend, at least in the USA marks the beginning of summer. With schools getting out, baseball in full swing, Swimming pools opening…all signs of summer! One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go camping. A good book (which I may never get to) ,a cooler full of food, beer, some pistachios and a new cross stitch project. I live in my swimsuit and cut offs, and my only job is to get the fire going in the morning for coffee, collecting pretty rocks in the river with Myles and stitching! Seriously makes me dreamy just talking about it.
Do you have your summer projects lined up yet? I am having a Memorial Day Salethis weekend to get you started: 20% off everything & free shipping. This will be good until Monday night, so you will have time to look. I have added scissorCandy, eyeCandyand countingCandyfor you! I use my countingCandy religiously now and wonder how I made it through so many years of stitching, and counting, and counting, and counting again without them. IF you want threads for your designs pop me an email and I will send you back a price. OK?
Have a wonderful weekend. Have fun picking out your summer stitch projects. Until next time, let someone else do the grilling, you sit, stitch and enjoy the world around you!
Heather
oh yeah, if you are in the St Louis area the next show I will be doing is the Strawberry Festival in Kimmswick, MO June 6th and 7th. If you have never been to Kimmswick, it is a treat, a great little river town.
How much I LOVE getting photos of my designs that YOU stitched. So often you make better, clearer, color and fabric choices, add your own words, re work the finishing completely and creatively. IT is really one of my favorite things. That said, this is one I received this week from Liz Roads, she stitched “love”, which I had done for my sons birth announcement, as a wedding gift for friends. Taking this piece and making a wedding piece is a great idea that some of you have shared so I was excited to recieve this photo so I could share this idea with you. She also stitched it over one thread on 28 count cashel. Which makes it CONSIDERABLY smaller! I tend to design big…I fight against it really. But when it is your only child, you don’t care! I am just glad that so many people enjoy this design!
I have lots of photos from stitchers of monsterbubbles designs that you all have sent me saved so that I can add them to my web site eventually. Maybe I will start sharing them here too. If you have a flicker or web shots or other place you have your finished posted send me a link! I am sure I am not the only one who would love to admire your work.
Really lovely Liz, thanks for sharing it with us!
OK, don’t forget the Valentines sale.
Until next time~stitch like you have to have your current project finished and framed by Saturday.
Do you have a Valentine? Or a Valentine wish? For me Valentines Day doubles as my moms birthday, so even if I wasn’t in the mood to celebrate my Valentine (or lack of anyone Valentine worthy) I always have something to celebrate! ha! FOR you gals and guys I will celebrate and put all Valentine, heart and love inspired designs on sale until February 16th.
I won’t be going to the Nashville needlework market this year. Feels really odd, but, for the family and my life, I need to take a break from it. I will have new patterns to release at the end of February/beginning of March. I will post info here as soon as I have it. For shops, if you are not on my auto program and want to be email me and I will add you.
Thanks, and until next time stitch as if the driveway (& sidewalk) does not need to be shoveled…
the goal: enjoy my family and friends with little or no stress.
the reality: no matter how hard I try, and prepare, this never seems to happen.
Now don’t get me wrong, I still have enjoyment and as the years move forward, each holiday I do seem to have a greater appreciation for those in my life, but stress free? um, Not exactly. Thanks has been given. In a year filled with not so great news, I am completely thankful for my nearest and dearest. My smart son, my cute husband, my mom, sister, nieces and nephew, dad, bro in law. AND, all of you. Thanks for all the encouraging emails filled with photos, and ideas for designs and great quotes. THANKS for all of your support. FREE SHIPPINGfor the holidazeseems the least I can do. I will have a few other things in store for you this month also for your shopping needs, so check back often. On the whole I am not a stressed out person, and happy emails and notes from you guys always make the day more cheerful. Thanks!
Thanksgiving Day was spent at our house. Mostly a family full of girls. Cousins, aunts, sisters, wives (how many are going to saint ives…?) Lots of girls, women. There are 7 of us who are all 5-ish years apart in age, so we span from 20 to 47. All crafty girls at that. SO, having them all hear testing out my new studio/office space was a ball! Turning them loose on the bead table, seeing what each one came up with was a treat. I got to show off all my recent creations, my JCS ornaments, my peyote necklaces and bracelets, plus new models in the works. Putting a care package together for my youngest cousin Whitney full of beads, tools and findings, and talking the twins thru stitching on screen and how to macrame withhemp was by far the most fun time of the weekend. Glad that we did Turkey at our house this year, all the time spent cooking and cleaning was well worth it. Got a few new quotes for some possible new designs as well. Don’t know why but this always seems to happen in bunches. I will go months without hearing or seeing any quotes that strike me, then in one day I will see a dozen. Maybe it has to do with my mood?! or the energy I am creating on any given day. Funny isn’t it?
So, happy belated thanksgiving. I need to go get stitching done now so I can show you my new necklace kits for you to stitch before Christmas.
FREE SHIPPING will continue throughout December. Good for USA only. I will do some discounting on orders placed outside of the USA, Canada and all international shipping. USA Orders will be shipped on or before December 15th to ensure they arrive in time for gifting.
