"Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!" Seldom were truer words written. This famous phrase was rendered by Sir Walter Scott. Walter Scott, born in Edinburgh in 1771, wrote thru the years with at least 5 pen names. Jebediah Cleisbotham, and Malachi Malagrowther are my two favorites. He died in September of 1832.
